Actress Temi Otedola has jokingly rejected her husband Mr Eazi’s interest in giving their unborn child a Japanese name.
The couple shared the light-hearted exchange during a recent episode of their podcast, where they opened up about preparations for the arrival of their first child.
Mr Eazi revealed that he had considered welcoming their baby in Japan and had begun exploring Japanese names as part of the plan.
“I wanted Japan,” the singer said while explaining that he and Temi had yet to decide the country where they would have their child.
Temi, however, was quick to dismiss the idea of a Japanese name.
“By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names and I’m like, no, absolutely not,” she said.
Mr Eazi and Temi also disclosed that they consulted nine doctors in different countries as they considered where to welcome their first child.
According to the singer, the consultations were necessary because they wanted to understand the available options before deciding on a country.
“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors because to give you options, not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we were going to decide on,” he said.
The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child after discovering the pregnancy during their honeymoon in Asia.
Mr Eazi and Temi got married in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025.
