Emmanuel Obasi, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin, has lashed out at social media users who mocked his appearance instead of paying attention to his emotional plea to reunite with his children.
Obasi’s reaction followed widespread discussions online after a video surfaced showing him appealing for help over his alleged inability to see his children for more than a decade.
Addressing critics in a fresh video, Obasi expressed frustration that many people appeared more interested in commenting on the handkerchief he carried during the emotional appeal than the issues he raised about his children.
“Your fellow man come out crying that he want to see his children, you are busy looking at handkerchief, what concern handkerchief,” he said.
The visibly upset father argued that the focus of the conversation should be on his long-standing efforts to reconnect with his children rather than on trivial matters surrounding his appearance.
Obasi has repeatedly claimed that he has been denied access to his children since the collapse of his marriage to Judy Austin. Over the years, he has publicly appealed to Nigerians, celebrities, and influential figures to intervene and help him reunite with them.
His latest comments have sparked fresh reactions online, with supporters accusing critics of ignoring the substance of his message. Others, however, maintained their skepticism regarding some of the claims he has made about the family dispute.
Despite the mixed reactions, Obasi insists that his primary concern remains seeing his children again after years of separation, urging the public to focus on what he describes as the real issue at hand.
