Social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over fresh allegations of fraud involving N13 million.
The EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 arraigned Blessing CEO before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
According to the anti-graft agency, the defendant is facing a fresh six-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining proceeds allegedly derived from fraudulent activities amounting to N13 million.
The EFCC said the charges followed multiple petitions submitted by individuals and groups, including the Nigeria Cancer Society, over claims made by the influencer on social media.
Investigators alleged that Blessing CEO solicited financial assistance from members of the public after claiming she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and required support for medical treatment.
According to the commission, several individuals and organisations made donations based on the appeal.
However, the EFCC alleged that subsequent investigations revealed that documents presented by the defendant to support the medical claims were falsified.
The anti-corruption agency maintains that the donations were obtained under false pretences, leading to the fresh charges filed against her.
The case marks another chapter in the legal challenges facing the controversial social media personality, who has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s online space through her relationship advice and social commentary.
Justice Bogoro is expected to oversee further proceedings as the court examines the allegations brought against the defendant.
The EFCC said the prosecution forms part of its efforts to address financial crimes and protect members of the public from fraudulent schemes disguised as charitable or medical appeals.
