Social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has broken her silence following her remand at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre over fresh fraud charges filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a statement shared on her Facebook page on Wednesday, Blessing CEO disclosed that she had pleaded not guilty to all charges brought against her and remained optimistic despite her current situation.
The influencer, who was recently re-arraigned by the EFCC over allegations involving N13 million linked to alleged false cancer claims, revealed that she spent 26 days in EFCC custody before being remanded by the court.
According to her, the cases against her include multiple disputes, which she described as tenancy-related matters and the ongoing cancer-related allegations.
“Pleaded not guilty to all of the charges after spending 26 days in EFCC custody,” she wrote.
Blessing CEO maintained that she was in “high spirits” and expressed confidence that the legal challenges would ultimately work in her favour.
Reflecting on her remand, she noted that it was the second time she had been sent to Kirikiri Correctional Centre, recalling her previous detention in 2022 over allegations of defamation and cyberbullying.
“Second time in Kirikiri Correctional Center. It will end in praise,” she stated.
The controversial media personality also suggested that the experience could become a turning point in her life, describing the ongoing ordeal as a potential stepping stone to greater success.
“Watch God turn this into a big stepping stone,” she wrote, while thanking supporters for standing by her during the legal battle.
Blessing CEO further disclosed that her bank accounts had been frozen, jokingly telling followers not to expect requests for financial assistance from her.
She also thanked the EFCC for what she described as “free publicity,” maintaining a light-hearted tone despite the seriousness of the allegations against her.
The influencer urged her followers to keep her in their prayers and assured them that she would return stronger after the legal proceedings.
Her comments come days after the EFCC arraigned her before the Federal High Court in Lagos on fresh charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining alleged proceeds of crime.
The anti-graft agency alleges that donations were made to her after she claimed on social media that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and required financial support for treatment. The commission further alleges that documents presented in support of the claim were falsified.
The case has been adjourned pending further proceedings and consideration of her bail application.
