Nigerian social media personality Blessing has announced plans to refund Nigerians who contributed to her health, following concerns raised by some donors over ongoing controversy surrounding her appeal.
In a video shared on her Instagram handle, Blessing expressed deep gratitude to those who supported her during her time of need, noting that their generosity meant a great deal to her.
She said she does not take the contributions for granted, adding that the experience showed her the depth of compassion among Nigerians, especially when strangers come through in difficult moments.
Addressing critics and concerned donors, Blessing stated that she is willing to return funds to anyone who is no longer comfortable with the situation. She urged such individuals to reach out via WhatsApp with proof of payment and their account details to facilitate the refund process.
“To the well-meaning Nigerians who contributed to my health, God bless you. Thank you so much, I didn’t take it for granted. You know you are loved when you cry for help and strangers come through for you,” she said.
She added, “To Nigerians that say Blessing, we are not comfortable with the controversy and drama, please refund us our money — I am willing to do that. Send a WhatsApp message with your receipt and account number, we will credit you back.”
As part of the process, Blessing shared evidence of some refunds already made, including a payment returned to VeryDarkMan, with an additional ₦100 added as a birthday gesture. She also confirmed refunding another contributor, Samuel Folashade Angela, with a payment of ₦100,000.
The development comes amid ongoing discussions online about transparency and accountability in public fundraising, with Blessing’s move seen as a response to mounting scrutiny.
