The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced another extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application exercise.
According to the Board, prospective candidates now have until May 22, 2026, to complete their registration process, providing additional time for applicants yet to finalise their applications.
The latest extension comes amid reports that several candidates were still facing delays in obtaining the necessary credentials and supporting documents required for registration.
JAMB had earlier extended the deadline to May 8 and also approved additional accredited registration centres across the country to ease the registration process for applicants. The new adjustment is aimed at ensuring that all qualified candidates are adequately captured ahead of the 2026 admission exercise.
The Board advised prospective Direct Entry candidates to take advantage of the extension and avoid waiting until the final days before completing their registration.
Meanwhile, preparations are ongoing for the commencement of the 2026 admission process, with JAMB expected to hold its admission policy meeting on May 11, 2026, ahead of the official admission exercise.
