The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised candidates whose 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results are yet to be released to check their status through its official SMS channels.
In a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the examination body directed affected candidates to send “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
According to the Board, the process will allow candidates to confirm whether their results have been released or if further review is ongoing.
JAMB stressed that only the phone number linked to the candidate’s UTME registration can be used for the status check, warning that messages sent from other numbers may not return valid responses.
The Board said, “Candidates whose results have not yet been released are advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration to view their released results.”
The clarification comes amid growing concerns from candidates and parents over delays in the release of some 2026 UTME results.
