President Bola Tinubu has declared that he will not be intimidated out of office, insisting that he remains committed to seeking a second term despite rising insecurity and political pressure.
Tinubu made the statement while addressing political stakeholders, alleging that some opponents are attempting to exploit the country’s security challenges to force him out of power.
In the now viral video clip shared by Nigeria Stories on X, Tinubu said, “My enemies want to use insecurity in the country to get rid of me, but I’m a stubborn politician who refuses to go, and I will campaign for my second term”
The President’s remarks come amid growing concerns over insecurity across parts of Nigeria, which has become a major topic in national discourse and political debate.
Speaking further, Tinubu outlined plans to tackle the situation, including renewed efforts to establish state police as part of broader security reforms.
“Through the legislature present, we will work together to establish state police. I believe once we have state police, enforcement of laws will take care of some of these problems, for us to stop creating widows, widowers, and orphans,” he added.
