Celebrity barman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Okechukwu made the announcement in a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, where he revealed his ambition to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State.
Accompanying the video, he wrote: “Stopped by at our great party state secretariat to congratulate and encourage our state working committee on their emergence and above all, I made known to them my humble aspirations to represent my people, the good people of Orsu/Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Reps. Na God get power, let the will of God be done.”
In the video, the nightlife entrepreneur said he visited the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to formally inform party leaders of his political ambition and seek their support.
“I’ll be running for the office of the Federal House of Representatives. So, all I’m asking is for your blessings,” he said.
He also called for unity among party members, urging them to work together as “brothers, sisters, and party people” in pursuit of shared political goals.
Okechukwu’s declaration comes amid his growing involvement in political activities, particularly within the City Boy Movement, a support group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
He currently serves as the Imo State Director of the group, further signaling his increasing role in the country’s political landscape.
