The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, detailing key dates for primaries and the cost of nomination forms for aspirants.
In a press statement issued in Abuja on April 20, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the timetable outlines critical timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as guidelines for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
The schedule, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, confirmed that the sale of forms will take place at the APC National Secretariat from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.
According to the timetable, the presidential primary election will hold from Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Other primaries are scheduled as follows: House of Representatives on Monday, May 18; Senate on Wednesday, May 20; State House of Assembly on Thursday, May 21; and governorship on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The party also revealed the cost of nomination forms for various positions. The presidential form is pegged at ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 million. Senate forms will cost ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly ₦6 million.
The APC, in the statement, reassured its members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to a credible process.
“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the Party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals,” the statement read.
The release of the timetable signals the official kickoff of the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, with aspirants expected to begin consultations and mobilization in line with the outlined schedule.
