The National Youth Service Corps has adjusted the orientation schedule for prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun states for the 2026 Batch A Stream II exercise.
In a statement issued on Monday by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation course for the two states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and end on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The scheme attributed the adjustment to ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps in both states.
“The orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun states will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and end on Monday, May 18, 2026,” the statement said.
NYSC clarified that the change only affects Enugu and Osun, while the orientation exercise for other states and the Federal Capital Territory remains unchanged.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the orientation exercise for all other states and the FCT will hold from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026,” the scheme added.
The organisation urged affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised schedule and act accordingly.
“Prospective corps members posted to the affected states are advised to take note of this adjustment and comply with the revised dates,” it stated.
The NYSC had earlier released call-up letters for prospective corps members participating in the 2026 Batch A Stream II exercise, ahead of the commencement of the orientation programme.
