The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released a detailed guide for applicants participating in its 2026 recruitment exercise, outlining the process for screening verification, document upload, examination slip printing, and physical examination.
According to information released by the board, the recruitment portal will be open from June 15 to June 20, 2026, while the physical examination for successful candidates is scheduled to commence on June 22, 2026.
The board urged applicants to access the recruitment portal only through its official website, warning candidates against sharing their application numbers with third parties or engaging with individuals claiming to offer assistance for a fee.
How to Check Your Screening Status
Applicants are required to visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20 and enter the application number used during registration to verify their screening status.
The verification process will be carried out automatically by the system. Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be granted access to the next stage of the recruitment process, while those who do not meet the requirements will not proceed beyond the verification stage.
Document Upload and Examination Scheduling
Shortlisted candidates will be required to upload all relevant supporting documents as specified by the board.
Applicants must also select their preferred examination date and the venue closest to them before completing their submission. CDCFIB noted that available slots at examination venues are limited and candidates are encouraged to make their selections promptly before the portal closes.
Download and Print Examination Slip
Immediately after completing the document upload process, candidates are expected to download and print their examination slips.
The board advised applicants to print at least two copies of the slip and carefully confirm that details such as their names, examination dates, venues, and candidate numbers are correct.
According to the board, the examination slip serves as the official entry pass for the recruitment exercise and must be safeguarded.
Physical Examination Begins June 22
The physical examination phase of the recruitment exercise is scheduled to begin on June 22, 2026.
Candidates have been instructed to arrive at their designated venues at least 30 minutes before their scheduled examination time and come along with only their printed examination slips.
CDCFIB also advised applicants to dress appropriately for physical fitness assessments, warning that late arrivals may be denied entry.
Results and Next Phase
Following the completion of the physical examination, Phase 1 results will be published on the official recruitment portal.
Successful candidates will proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process, which includes fitness and oral examinations.
The board emphasized that all announcements regarding results and subsequent stages of the exercise will be communicated through its official channels.
CDCFIB Warns Against Fraud
The board reiterated that the recruitment exercise is completely free and urged applicants to be wary of fraudsters or agents demanding money in exchange for shortlisting, examination slots, or recruitment assistance.
Candidates were advised to rely solely on official CDCFIB communication channels for updates and recruitment-related information.
