The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, directing applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to check their application status online.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd.), the Board disclosed that the next stage of the recruitment process will involve physical screening and document verification for shortlisted candidates.
According to the statement, applicants who sat for the CBT conducted in November 2025 are expected to visit the Board’s official recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20, 2026, to verify whether they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the exercise.
The Board stated that candidates are required to log into the portal using the application number generated during registration. Successful applicants will be required to upload relevant credentials and select their preferred date and venue for the physical screening exercise.
CDCFIB urged applicants to carefully follow all instructions provided on the recruitment portal to ensure a seamless screening process.
The Board also reiterated that the recruitment exercise remains entirely free of charge, warning applicants against paying money to individuals, agents, or groups claiming to offer assistance with shortlisting, document uploads, venue allocation, screening access, or final selection.
It further cautioned members of the public against fake recruitment messages, fraudulent websites, and unauthorized persons impersonating the Board, emphasizing that all official information regarding the exercise would only be communicated through the CDCFIB recruitment portal and approved communication channels.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and merit, the Board assured applicants that the recruitment process would be conducted in line with established rules and guidelines to ensure fairness, credibility, and equal opportunity for all qualified candidates.
The statement was signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd.), and dated June 13, 2026.
