The Chairman of the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Zacchaeus Michael, has reportedly been kidnapped by gunmen.
According to PUNCH ONLINE report, Michael’s kidnap was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya on Saturday.
Aya disclosed that the caretaker chairman was kidnapped on Friday night along Kabba-Okene Road in the Kabba area of the state.
“Yes, I got the information. The state Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, has already deployed officers for a search-and-rescue mission. We are on top of the situation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sources who pleaded anonymity disclosed that Michael was abducted alongside some of his aides.
