The Nigeria Immigration Service has urged Nigerians to ignore fraudulent websites claiming to handle Immigration Service recruitment and confirming that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is the only authorized recruitment platform.
In a public advisory shared on its official X account, the board emphasized that the only authorized platform for recruitment is https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. Any other links, advertisements, or websites claiming to manage immigration recruitment are unauthorized and should be ignored.
The warning comes amid rising reports of fake recruitment sites targeting unsuspecting job seekers, often requesting personal information or payments. CDCFIB stressed that such scams are illegal and urged the public to verify all recruitment updates through official channels.
“Applicants should rely solely on our official portal to avoid being defrauded. The board is committed to a transparent and secure recruitment process,” the statement read.
By posting the advisory on X, CDCFIB aims to quickly reach a wide audience, ensuring Nigerians are aware of the risks of fraudulent recruitment schemes.
