The Iranian government has estimated that the cost of the war involving the United States and Israel since February has reached approximately $270 billion, according to officials.
Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said the figure is a preliminary estimate provided by the government and may be revised as further assessments are completed.
She explained that the calculation is still at an early stage and will require a detailed evaluation of damage to infrastructure, buildings, and other physical assets.
Mohajerani added that the next phase of assessment will include broader economic losses, including lost tax revenues and wider financial damage caused by the conflict.
She also said the Iranian government intends to seek compensation from both the United States and Israel over the impact of the war.
According to her, the issue of reparations has been discussed in recent diplomatic engagements, including talks involving US and Iranian representatives held in Islamabad over the weekend.
The government noted that the $270 billion figure remains a preliminary estimate and will be refined as further data becomes available.
