The Rivers State House of Assembly has officially halt impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the third time.
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, stated this during plenary on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
This latest development comes after multiple attempts by some lawmakers to initiate impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara, which have repeatedly been stalled or suspended by the Speaker.
