Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has broken his silence after a viral video showing him on a street in Abuja sparked widespread concern about his wellbeing.
The clip, which circulated widely on social media, showed the actor lying by the roadside in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja while talking to himself and holding a disposable cup, prompting many fans to express worry over his condition.
Reacting to the growing speculation, Anuku dismissed the concerns in a video shared online, insisting that he was doing well and urging Nigerians to focus on more important issues.
“Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do, go do something. I’m good,” he said.
The actor’s response has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some fans expressing relief after hearing directly from him, while others maintained that they remained concerned about his wellbeing.
Anuku has, on several occasions in recent years, been the subject of viral videos and rumours regarding his health and personal life. Some of those claims were later debunked.
