The City Boy Movement has dismissed speculations of a leadership shake-up in Imo State, reaffirming that popular socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, remains firmly in charge of the group’s affairs in the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the group described reports suggesting a change in its Imo leadership as “false, misleading, and the handiwork of mischief-makers,” insisting that there has been no alteration to its structure or chain of command.
According to the statement, Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, continues to serve as the duly recognized leader and coordinator of the movement in Imo, with the full backing of the national leadership.
The group warned individuals and platforms spreading unverified claims to desist from actions capable of causing confusion and division among its supporters, stressing that the movement remains united and focused on its objectives.
It further urged members and the public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information regarding its activities, reiterating that there is no parallel leadership in Imo State.
The City Boy Movement has been active in grassroots mobilization and political engagement across several states, with Cubana Chief Priest playing a visible role in its operations in the South-East.
