United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has declared that America will decisively conclude the ongoing conflict, insisting that the country did not initiate the war but will bring it to an end under President Donald Trump.
In a national address shared on FOXNEWS, Hegseth said, “We didn’t start this war, but under Trump we’ll finish it,” signaling a hardened stance from the administration amid escalating tensions involving Iran.
The defense chief framed the confrontation as the result of decades of hostility, describing it as the culmination of “47 years of Iranian belligerence.”
“It took the 47th president, a fighter who always puts America first, to finally draw the line after 47 years of Iranian belligerence,” Hegseth stated.
Hegseth delivered one of his strongest warnings yet to groups or nations targeting U.S. citizens.
“If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere on earth, we will hunt you down without apology and without hesitation, and we will kill you,” he said.
