U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead following a large-scale joint military strike by the United States and Israel on Iran, in an escalation of regional hostilities that has drawn global attention.
In a post shared by FOXNEWS on social media, Trump described Khamenei as “one of the most evil people in history” and said the operation targeted Iranian leadership and military infrastructure as part of what he portrayed as a campaign to protect American and allied interests.
Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have echoed the claim, saying there are “many signs” that Khamenei was killed when joint strikes hit his compound in Tehran.
However, these claims come amid conflicting reports and no official confirmation from Iranian authorities. Iranian state media and government officials have denied that Khamenei has been killed, with the country’s foreign minister stating that he is “still alive as far as I know.”
The U.S.–Israel offensive, described by some sources as one of the most ambitious attacks on Iran in decades, has reportedly targeted multiple military sites and senior figures associated with Iran’s leadership.

In addition to the disputed reports about Khamenei’s fate, Trump has urged elements within Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and security forces to seek immunity and side with domestic opposition, framing the situation as a chance for the Iranian people to “take back their country.”
The strikes have triggered fallout across the region, with reports of explosions in Tehran and beyond, and concerns of a broader conflict involving neighbouring countries and global powers.
At the time of this report, the situation remains fluid, with independent confirmation of Khamenei’s death not yet established.
