Popular Nigerian social media personality Peller and skit maker-turned-streamer Carter Efe are facing intense backlash after smashing each other’s cars during a heated altercation that was broadcast live.
In a viral video now circulating across social media platforms, both men were seen climbing onto the roofs of their vehicles and smashing the front and rear windscreens with stones while streaming the incident in real time. The shocking display quickly sparked outrage among fans, many of whom described the act as reckless and unnecessary.
The reason behind the clash remains unclear. However, Peller later addressed the incident during another live session, admitting he initiated the confrontation and expressing satisfaction over damaging Carter Efe’s vehicle, which he described as retaliation.
“The way I damaged the car, I was very happy. He kept his own GLE and kept destroying my things, and I wasn’t able to retaliate,” he said.
He further claimed that Carter had previously damaged several items in his studio, leaving him with no opportunity to respond until the recent incident.
“I climbed on his car first, I won’t lie, because he had already broken a lot of things in my place. My car is gone,” Peller added.
Carter Efe, on his part, appeared to dismiss the accusations, responding briefly during a separate broadcast:
“I hate you, you are too rough.”
The controversy intensified after reports surfaced that businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, had recently gifted the car to Carter Efe. The destruction of the vehicle has further fueled criticism, with many questioning the growing trend of extreme online stunts for views and engagement.
As reactions continue to pour in, the incident has once again raised concerns about the limits influencers are willing to push in pursuit of digital attention.
