Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Idris Mohammed, engaged Nigerian media practitioners and social media influencers at a private dinner in London ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s State Visit to the United Kingdom.
According to a post on X by NTA, the Minister urged the diaspora audience to support the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda by highlighting the benefits of ongoing economic and structural reforms aimed at national rebirth.
Speaking to the influential diaspora audience in London, Mohammed positioned journalists and influencers as critical partners in selling the government’s transformation narrative to both Nigerians abroad and at home.
The engagement underscores Tinubu’s UK visit strategy: mobilizing the Nigerian creative and media ecosystem in Europe’s media capital to shape global and domestic perceptions of his reform program.
“The media must highlight the gains of these reforms,” Mohammed insisted, framing the dinner as a strategic alignment of Nigeria’s information machinery with the administration’s renewal objectives.
