Donald J. Trump has declared that there will be “no deal” with Iran unless the country agrees to what he described as “unconditional surrender.”
Trump made the remark in a strongly worded message posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, outlining his stance on potential negotiations with Tehran.
In the post, the U.S. leader stated that any agreement with Iran would only come after the country accepts unconditional surrender and selects what he described as a “great and acceptable leader.”
“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” Trump wrote.
He further said that once those conditions are met, the United States and its allies would work to help rebuild Iran and restore its economy.
“After that, and the selection of a great and acceptable leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” Trump said.
Trump also expressed optimism about Iran’s future, adding that the country could become stronger and more prosperous once political changes occur.
“Iran will have a great future. Make Iran Great Again (MIGA!),” he concluded in the post.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and ongoing geopolitical disputes involving Iran’s nuclear programme and regional influence. Analysts say Trump’s remarks signal a continued hardline position by Washington toward Tehran.
