Chelsea FC has been hit with a £10.75 million fine by the Premier League following breaches of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), alongside significant transfer restrictions.
According to SKYSPORTSNEWS on X, the club received a one-year transfer ban suspended for two years, meaning it activates only if Chelsea breach regulations again within that period. Additionally, a nine-month Academy transfer ban was imposed, limiting their ability to sign youth players.
The sanctions stem from Chelsea’s aggressive spending under new ownership, which triggered multiple PSR investigations. The Premier League confirmed the penalties after an independent commission reviewed the club’s financial submissions.
