Former Yahaya Bello has declared his unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, describing the 2027 electoral push as a personal mission.
Bello made the announcement while receiving members of the pro-Tinubu support group, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) Movement, at his Abuja residence. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that the party provided him his first political opportunity, which enabled his election and re-election as governor, and facilitated the emergence of his successor, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, alongside other elected officials in Kogi State since 2016.
He assured RTIFN leaders of his readiness to collaborate with Seyi Tinubu and the movement to secure electoral victories in upcoming polls.
According to RTIFN, the group was formed to mobilise citizens, educate grassroots communities on government policies, promote the Renewed Hope agenda, counter misinformation, and strengthen public support for the President’s programmes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
National Coordinator of the movement, Ambassador Ahmed Bala, commended Bello for his contributions to the APC and national development, describing him as a dependable pillar in consolidating the party’s structure in the North Central region. Bello was subsequently decorated as North Central Patron to coordinate mobilisation efforts.
Other RTIFN officials present included National Secretary Ambassador Felix Arome; National Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade; National Publicity Secretary, Musa Abdulrahaman; and Rt. Hon. David Idris Zakariya, member representing Idah Federal Constituency and Kogi Project Coordinator, alongside other national and state executives of the movement.
