Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unprecedented support to state governments, noting that it has allowed some governors, including himself, to manage their states without resorting to loans.
Speaking at Leadership Newspaper Award earlier today, Governor Sani stated, “No president in the history of Nigeria has supported states like President Tinubu, and that is why some of us have been running our states without taking loans.”
He emphasized that, in today’s Nigeria, there is no governor compelled to borrow to fund the operations of their state.
Governor Sani was also honoured with the Governor of the Year Award by Leadership Newspaper. The accolade was presented at the Leadership Annual Conference by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and Bishop Matthew Kukah, highlighting Sani’s effective governance and fiscal prudence.
