Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson, has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The development was disclosed in a now-viral video circulating on social media, where Dickson confirmed his decision to leave the PDP after years of political association with the party.
Dickson, who also served as senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, was governor of Bayelsa State from 2012 to 2020. During his tenure, he was widely known for prioritising investments in education, infrastructure and institutional reforms in the oil-rich Niger Delta state.
