Nollywood actor Uzor ‘Dark Horse’ Arukwe has addressed the swirling online rumours linking him to fellow actress and reality TV star, Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam, dismissing the claims as false and damaging.
The actor, in a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, revealed that a specific social media user had been identified as the source of what he described as “false rumours and baseless accusations” concerning his professional relationship with a colleague in the film industry.
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time.
“Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation,” Arukwe wrote.
Arukwe stated that he deliberately chose not to mention the account publicly to avoid giving it attention, but warned that spreading defamatory claims for clout could have serious consequences. He stressed that boundaries must be respected and reputations should not be harmed by unverified allegations circulated online.
While he did not directly mention Bambam in his statement, the reaction comes amid ongoing social media speculation attempting to link the actor romantically with the former Big Brother Naija star. The rumours have circulated widely across online platforms in recent days, drawing reactions from fans and entertainment observers.
Reaffirming his stance, Arukwe maintained that the allegations are unfounded and harmful, adding that individuals responsible for spreading false information risk facing legal repercussions.
