The Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of two members of the Nollywood production crew who were found lifeless inside a parked car in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The deceased were identified as Godstime Imeh, a lighting director and CEO of GeeTee Light, and Walter Odediran, a creative video director popularly known as Director Carrinqton.
They were discovered on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2026, inside Imeh’s tinted Nissan vehicle within the premises of a movie location reportedly directed by former Big Brother Naija star, Boma.
What Happened
Sources at the location said the two men arrived early for the shoot to install lighting equipment. After completing their setup around mid-morning, they reportedly decided to rest inside the car with the air-conditioning running while awaiting further instructions.
Around 11 a.m., breakfast of yam and omelette was delivered to them by a crew member. Concern arose when repeated phone calls to both men went unanswered by noon. Hours later, after filming activities ended, colleagues discovered them motionless inside the vehicle.
Kola Odediran, elder brother of Walter, said the loss has been devastating for the family, describing the deceased as hardworking professionals who frequently collaborated on movie productions.
He revealed that Walter was found seated upright with foam in his mouth, while Imeh was slumped with blood visible from his nose, eyes, and mouth, suggesting the incident occurred suddenly.
