Nigerian music star Spyro has opened up about his long journey to success, revealing that he spent 16 years hustling in the music industry before finally breaking into the spotlight.
The singer, whose real name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi, shared the revelation in a heartfelt post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, urging fans not to give up on their dreams despite setbacks and delays.
Reflecting on his transformation over the years, Spyro admitted that his current lifestyle once seemed far-fetched. According to him, if anyone had predicted his success just three years ago, he would have doubted it.
“If someone had told me 3 years ago that I would become this fly, I would have argued it,” he wrote. “And now I look at my life, and all I can say to someone reading this is PLS DON’T GIVE UP.”
He disclosed that his journey in the music industry was marked by years of struggle, rejection, and perseverance, noting that he remained consistent even during his lowest moments.
“I have been in the industry hustling for 16 years, and I was at my lowest when JESUS is still in the business of changing lives. JUST BELIEVE,” he added.
Spyro’s testimony highlights the often unseen challenges behind success in the entertainment industry, where many artists work for years without recognition before achieving a breakthrough.
