Pop superstar Rihanna was reportedly inside her luxury residence when gunfire struck the property in Beverly Hills, a high-end neighbourhood in Los Angeles, on Sunday afternoon.
According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the shooting occurred shortly after 1:00 pm local time when a suspect allegedly fired about 10 rounds from a vehicle parked across the street from the singer’s mansion.
Local television station KTLA reported that at least one bullet pierced a wall of the residence. Rihanna was said to be inside the home at the time of the incident.
The Grammy-winning singer lives at the property with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children.
Police said the suspected shooter, described as a woman in her 30s, fled the scene immediately after the gunfire. She was later arrested without incident, and authorities reportedly recovered a weapon during the arrest.
Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting, and officials have not disclosed whether the suspect specifically targeted the singer.
As of the time of reporting, Rihanna has not publicly commented on the incident.
