Legendary martial artist and iconic action film star Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, his family confirmed in a statement shared on social media.
Norris, best known for his roles in classic action films and the long running TV series Walker, Texas Ranger, passed away peacefully after a medical emergency while hospitalized in Kauai, Hawaii.
According to a report by FOXNEWS, in a message posted on his official family accounts, relatives expressed deep sorrow at his passing, saying they were “heartbroken” and grateful for the love and support he received from fans around the world. The statement noted that he was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his death.
Born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, Norris rose from humble beginnings to become one of Hollywood’s most enduring action stars. A successful competitive martial artist, he won multiple karate championships before transitioning into film and television, where he became known for his toughguy persona and physical prowess on screen.
Norris achieved global fame through roles in films such as Missing in Action, The Delta Force, and the Walker, Texas Ranger TV series, which made him a household name and cultural icon. Off screen, he was widely recognised for his Christian faith and philanthropy.
