The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the official timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
According to the final international timetable shared on the council’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the examination will begin on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and conclude on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The council disclosed that the examination will commence with Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session and Home Management 3 (Practical) Planning Session.

The examination is conducted annually across WAEC member countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
Students and schools are advised to study the timetable carefully to ensure adequate preparation and avoid missing any scheduled paper.
