The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) has announced the commencement of printing of examination slips for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Thursday, the board said candidates can now access and print their examination slips, which contain key details such as examination venue, date, and time.
“This is to notify you that examination slip printing is now available,” the board stated, adding that the slip is mandatory for entry into the examination hall.
JAMB further explained: “Attention 2026 UTME Candidates: This is to notify you that Examination Slip Printing is now available. The slip contains details of the venue, date and time of your examination and gives you access to the examination hall.”
The board had earlier confirmed that the 2026 UTME will hold from April 16 to April 25.
It also dismissed reports alleging a postponement of the examination, describing such claims as false and urging candidates to ignore them.
“Our attention has been drawn to a malicious press release alleging that the 2026 UTME has been postponed. We wish to state clearly that the notice is fake and did not originate from the board. Candidates and the general public are advised to disregard it. All arrangements for the 2026 UTME remain on course as scheduled,” JAMB stated.
Meanwhile, the board also released key admission benchmarks following its 2025 policy meeting. It approved a minimum score of 150 for universities, 140 for colleges of nursing, and 100 for polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education, colleges of agriculture, and innovation enterprise institutions.
It also reaffirmed that the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session remains 16 years.
