The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has dismissed as false a viral social media post claiming that Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, was declared wanted by the anti-graft agency.
In the early hours of Thursday, a purported EFCC “wanted” poster of the comedian began circulating widely across social media platforms, sparking reactions among fans and followers.
However, the commission swiftly debunked the claim, describing the circulating image as fake.
Reacting to the post on its official social media handle, the EFCC warned individuals against spreading false information and misusing the agency’s name for attention.
“Clout chaser, stop this now!” the anti-graft agency wrote while dismissing the viral poster.

Sabinus, who rose to prominence through his comedy skits shared online, is widely known for his humorous portrayals and has built a large fan base across social media platforms.
