President Bola Tinubu celebrates billionaire industrialist Aliko Dangote on his birthday, praising his investments in refinery, cement production, job creation, and philanthropy across Nigeria and Africa.
In a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Dangote as a leading example of African enterprise whose investments have helped shape Nigeria’s industrial future.
“Aliko’s entrepreneurial vision, resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence have transformed industries and positioned Nigeria as a hub for large-scale petrochemical and cement production,” Tinubu said.
The president highlighted Dangote’s major industrial projects, including the Dangote Refinery and petrochemical operations, as well as cement production facilities spread across Africa. According to Tinubu, these investments have played a significant role in job creation and infrastructure development.
“I salute Aliko for his conglomerate’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and unwavering belief in the Nigerian economy and its potential,” the statement added.
Tinubu also commended Dangote’s humanitarian work through the Dangote Foundation, noting that its interventions have made meaningful contributions in health, education, and poverty alleviation.
“I also applaud Aliko’s philanthropic efforts… which have significantly impacted lives in health, education, and poverty alleviation,” he said.
The president concluded with prayers for the industrialist’s continued wellbeing and success.
“As Aliko marks another year, I pray for his continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity,” Tinubu said.
